Boris Johnson admitted to hospital with COVID-19 and later moved to intensive care – discharged on 12 April


On the advice of his doctor, Prime Minister Boris Johnson is admitted to hospital in London for tests after continuing to have persistent symptoms of COVID-19 10 days after testing positive for the virus. 2 days after him being admitted Downing Street announces that his symptoms had worsened: 'The condition of the prime minister has worsened and, on the advice of his medical team, he has been moved to the intensive care unit at the hospital.' Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab deputises 'where necessary'. Boris Johnson is discharged from hospital on 12 April 2020 and continues his recovery at Chequers.
